Located in the heart of wine country in Santa Barbara County, the Santa Rita Hills AVA is comfortably nestled between the towns of Lompoc and Buellton.

Blanketed with early morning fog and boasting warm afternoons and cooler evenings, the landscape is an ideal setting for producing a select variety of wines, among them Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. 

Organic products are celebrated by consumers and have become ubiquitous.  However, the Ampelos vineyard is a rarity in its triple certification.  The grapes are organically grown, the agriculture is biodynamic and the vineyard is Sustainable in Practice certified, which all promote healthy practices for the wine, the growers and the land.
